WG C5-19 (Regulatory aspects of Demand Response and Demand Side Management for integration within Electricity Markets)

The development of new Demand Side Management (DSM, energy savings) and Demand Response (DR, flexibility on consumption)  solutions and their integration into existing market and mechanisms has become a priority for several public policies, particularly in the context of the transition to low carbon energies. As a result, several new solutions have been emerging in various countries during the last few years to develop DSM/DR within industrial activities, services and households. Thus, an updated benchmark of the solutions to promote DSM/DR is essential to share good practices and experiences on this evolving topic. This survey will identify successful models, analyse advantages and drawbacks of main models and highlight the conditions and prerequisites for their success.
